I included tracks that were seminal from my point of view … It remains a bit of a mish-mash despite that and I imagine there would be some who would characterise it as ‘incoherently unlistenable’ despite my vague gestures at editorship.

I wrote far fewer actual words than in a lot of my previous attempts at songs, perhaps because of these issues of what to write - or not write? - in a time of information / textual overload … So now, I have undoubtedly written many more words about this album than I ever did in actually making it.

…to give it something to work with I asked it to write lyrics based on the title of a painting. Just to annoy it I picked a Salvador Dali painting with a characteristically preposterous title…
